For the Love of Coffee!!
Coffee......yes please!! I have to say, it used to be much easier to indulge in the deliciousness that is coffee. Almost 2 years ago, we picked up, left the lovely city and moved to no man's land!!! I live in a tiny little hamlet of about 15 houses and a school, and a vet................no coffee store............NO COFFEE STORE!!! So, our first Christmas, in our new house, I bought a Tassimo machine for under the tree. Well, happy day, it makes a fantastic cup of coffee. In the picture you will see that I have on hand The Great Canadian Coffee disks. This makes a nice rich coffee, but, not my favourite. I much prefer the caramel macchiato. When I am off to town I often stop at Starbucks for a caramel macchiato there, nothing better!

Off To Camp
Just a little less noise around the house today, as the two "little boys" are off to camp for a week. They aren't so little now that they are 10 and 12, but, in a large family, kids tend to get grouped. We have "the girls", they are my oldest 3 children, then we have "the boys" which are the 2 oldest boys, then we have the "little boys" and then, "the babies". The babies are a 4 1/2 and 3. I can't see these names ever changing. At 35 and 37 they will likely still be the "little boys" in our family.
Hope they remember to shower while at camp, although there is always swimming I guess. Sigh

Treasure Found!!!
While we strolled around the Friendship Festival, drinking bottles and bottles of water, stifling in the heat, we came to our favourite vendor. It is called Deer Ridge Farm. A husband and wife run this booth. He uses "found" pieces and reclaimed wood etc. to make many gorgeous pieces of furniture. I have often found a must have piece while at their booth, or when we go to their Christmas open house. This time it was this lovely, 2 piece desk set. The first two photos are at the sale and the last photo is where it is standing in my dining area at the moment. This will not be where it stays, I am still mulling that one over. What to do, what to do.........

Sadie Bustle Top
Today we went to Simcoe to visit my sister and her family. Every year we go down on the Civic Holiday weekend to something their town has called "The Friendship Festival". Oh there is treasure to be found at this festival, which is really a giant craft sale/flea market. The heat was so oppressive
that we spent most of our money on water and slushies!!! Sadie looked cool as a cucumber in her "Sadie Bustle Top" which can be found here in my shop.
You Have Mail!!!
Oh the excitement that comes over me when I open the mailbox and there is a package inside!! And it's fabric, Yay!! I've seen this HTF vintage print a couple of times and finally decided to order some as it is getting more and more difficult to find. It is a vintage birthday print on an aqua coloured background. It is very sweet. I am not sure what I will turn it into, but, likely some cute birthday dresses. I will post one when I have figured out what it should be.

Hair Pretties
My sister-in-law has a real talent for making sweet hair clips for little girls (or big girls)! I love the vintage look of all her bows. The sweet lace, hand rolled flowers.......so pretty and feminine. They tend to go with everything in my little ones wardrobe. If you are interested in purchasing these hair pretties just press here.
