Ontario Peaches--Theme Thursday!!

I found a neat blog hop this week, it is for "Aroma's". Could be anything, a lovely smelling baby, a smelly smelling baby, coffee, sweet rolls, tanning lotion, whatever smells good or bad to you. Out here on "The Property" we get some pretty retched smells at this time of year. Farmers are taking in their crops and spreading manure and when the wind blows just so, or any way at all actually, we get some not so pleasant smells wafting through the windows. But this morning, when I woke up, I saw and smelled the humble basket of peaches on my counter. Oh, when they are in season, the smell is delicious!! So, I put my humble peach on a tiny, vintage cake plate and took her picture. The peach is my choice for Theme Thursday's Aroma's. What is your favourite scent? What is your least favourite scent? Do tell!!

  5. Hi Connie,

Welcome to Theme Thursday, and thanks for playing.

I love how you put the peach inside of the Princess House butter dish, one can never have too much Princess House. Did you know you could put a rose inside with a couple of drops of water, run Vaseline along the rim to seal it to the bottom piece and the rose should stay fresh inside there for a longer time then in a vase. I am not sure how long for sure but the one thing is that you cannot smell the rose once it is sealed inside.

Fresh fruit and vegetable can smell oh so good and make one's stomach growl. Coffee can make us want to wake up, cake baking smells make us want desert. Oh so many wonderful smells and I think we are affected without even thinking about it. And then the terrible stinky smells repel us and maybe they are signs of danger. Bad things usually do stink. Ugh!!

Love your post and hope you had lots of fun. Happy TT.

    God bless.

Red wine + sliced peaches + orange juice + sugar + triple sec = Spanish "sangrĂa". Serve cold.
